Maker Monday - Year of the Ox by AutumnLeaflet

Posted by Rebecca Reed on

Did you know it's the Year of the Ox starting on Feb 12th? That's Chinese Lunar New Year Day, and to celebrate, @autumnleaflet has come out with the CUTEST little ox pattern!

I had to make this little guy because he's just adorable and also I can always use practice attaching limbs and making hair. Mine isn't nearly as cute as her ox (seriously go check it out) but I think I did pretty well! This guy took me 3.5 hours, with about half of that attaching limbs and making hair.

The only problem I had was making a super skinny tail so I just adapted it to an easier technique. I highly recommend tweaking patterns if you ever start to get frustrated or come across something you just can't do.
.
I highly recommend this pattern to anyone, even beginners. There are no hard stitches, and the only tricky thing is getting all your pieces lined up right (and for me the tail).

Pattern by AutumnLeaflet can be found on her Etsy shop here! <--------
