Pause here to add 6mm safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9 with 3 sts between them. With embroidery thread, add a little smile in the round below. Eyebrows are optional, and are done in slanted lines above the eyes.

R13: *Dec, sc in next 3 sts* repeat 6x (24)

R14: *Dec, sc in next 2 sts* repeat 6x (18)

Pause here to start stuffing, and continue stuffing as you go.

R15: *Dec, Sc in next st* repeat 6x (12)

R16: *Dec* repeat 6x (6)

Finish off, leaving a 12 inch long tail. With yarn needle, close up hole by weaving the yarn through the front loops of each sc in Row 16. Pull tight to close.

With Green: (leave 9 inch starting tail)

Chain 5. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and hdc in next 3 chains. Chain 3.

In the backside of the starting chain, hdc in each of the next 3 chains, and finish with a sc in the last chain.

Leave 12 inch long tail for sewing, and cut yarn. Weave starting tail through the underside of the leaf down to the bottom so it meets the other tail. Tie both tails together.

Use your yarn needle to attach green leaf to the top of your orange. Pull extra yarn through the body of the orange and trim.
